For the cover of THE GLUTEN-FREE WAY: MY WAY, we wanted something that would immediately catch the eye, as well as telegraph the book’s contents. Here’s what we ended up with:

Granted, the sheaf of wheat initially may seem misleading — to anyone familiar with botany or agronomy — in that gluten exists in other grains as well. In this case, however, wheat is merely meant to represent, universally, symbolically, and succinctly all gluten-laden grains.
The overlying red circle with red slash can be readily recognized by just about anyone, anywhere, as a sign indicative of: WARNING!
Therefore, as rendered in pictograph format, the cover, on the book’s outside, tells the same tale as the book’s message on the inside: Be WARNED against grains that contain gluten if you’re gluten-intolerant.
By the way, the book is presently at the publisher’s for formatting, and we have hopes that it will be available everywhere, on-line and in brick-and-mortar bookstores by Christmas.
